Freckles

Freckles
Freckles are multiple, flat, spots on the skin due to uneven distribution of melanin (skin pigment) in those areas. They are usually situated on sun-exposed areas of the skin, including the face, neck, arms, and shoulders and usually darken after sun exposure. Usually, freckles start to occur at a very young age. Freckles most commonly occur in people with lighter or fairer skin types, and in those who have a genetic predisposition to developing freckles.

Treatment of freckles is done by q-switch nd-yag laser
Mechanism of action of laser
Freckles, which are higher in melanin than normal skin, tend to attract the energy from this laser wavelength. The laser energy that is absorbed by the freckles leads to the destruction of the melanin in the freckle and its removal.

How does laser pigmentation removal work?
The laser is absorbed only by cells containing an excessive concentration of pigmentation which causes efficient destruction while leaving the surrounding tissue undamaged.

Procedure
Numbing cream is applied for 30-45 mins. The laser is delivered to freckles spots.
The light pulses produced by the laser can feel similar to mild flicking and for most people is not too uncomfortable. Immediate darkening is noticed after treatment. For 7-10 days the area will look like a dark scab which eventually sheds off
We at JIVISHA clinic uses alma - q which is the safest and most precise laser treatment solution for pigmented lesions and multi-color tattoo removal. A high pulse repetition rate and easy spot size changes allow for faster treatments and greater penetration depth achieving excellent clinical outcomes. Advanced alma q laser is suitable for all type of skin taking only 15 min to an hour for a treatment.
Benefits of pigmentation removal with alma q-nd-yag laser
• Can minimize and eliminate the appearance of pigmentation
• Treats body and facial areas
• Minimal side effects and recovery time
• Make-up can be worn after treatment
